Librarian of Congress Appoints W.S. Merwin Poet Laureate
Librarian of Congress James H. Billington today announced the appointment of W.S. Merwin as the Library’s 17th Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry for 2010-2011.
Merwin will take up his duties in the fall, opening the Library’s annual literary series on Oct. 25 with a reading of his work….

We will soon release the current anthology and catch up on the issues. Our college interns return in 2 weeks. Things have slowed down over the summer. All poets with pending work will be read and released by Sept 20th.
Book Publishing. We are happy to announce we will be publishing a full length poetry collection by poet Glenn Lyvers, which we will release later this year. This special collection will surely grab your attention. Lyvers won our 2009 contest, and has remained a constant contributor. This collection represents some of the best work we have had the pleasure to read. Look for that later this year.

For May we are publishing the electronic versions of Hanging by Threads and our Spring Anthology.
Congratulations to all the writers. These are immediately available by clicking “magazines” above.
We are still waiting on the books to come in before we ship to everyone who bought a hard copy. We are no longer taking orders for these two books. We are waiting for the shipment to arrive from the press and we will ship these out immediately after we receive them. Check back for updates.
Policy change regarding books.

We will soon be taking orders for two new anthologies. The new policies for printed books are below:
We will take orders for a limited time and then ship out the books all at once. We will not allow re-orders on our books.
The idea here is fairly simple. Because we are a small press, we need to know how many books to order. We buy a bundle to get the best price and then when they sell out, we cannot order small quantities without taking a beating on the prices.
I hope you understand. Please order as many as you think you will want.
